Separate Arrests Get Meth, Guns From Convicted Felons

Mesa County, Colo. -- Late last week, deputies located two wanted (with active warrants) adults in a camp trailer behind a residence in the 300 block of 30 Road, Grand Junction. They were arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on their outstanding warrants and new charges related to the more than 20 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and schedule II prescription drug(s), located inside the trailer.

Cody Guerrero, 31, and Leah Burrows, 30, both of Grand Junction remain in the Mesa County Jail on bond. Cody is being held on a $17,000 cash only bond, and Leah is being held on a $17,000 cash only bond with an added $600 cash or surety bond. They both are scheduled to appear in court next on January 22, at 8 a.m.

On Sunday morning, deputies were sent to a domestic violence incident where the male suspect was witnessed chasing a female with a baseball bat, in the 3200 block of E Road, in Clifton. In Larry's bedroom, deputies located 5 firearms and multiple rounds, along with suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Larry was previously convicted of felonies in 2005 and 2006, making it illegal for him to possess weapons.

Deputies also located an outstanding warrant for Larry Chambers, 33, of Clifton, who was also booked into jail on charges related to felony menacing, domestic violence, possession of weapons by a previous offender, possession of a dangerous or illegal weapon(s), third degree assault, failure to appear warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia.
