Unresponsive Male Found at Mesa County Detention Facility
Mesa County, Colo -- This morning at 11 a.m., deputies working in the Detention Facility, found an unresponsive male hanging in his cell. Life saving measures were immediately initiated by deputies and medical staff while the Grand Junction Fire Department was dispatched to the facility. The male was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment, where he is in critical condition.
As with any incident of this type, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are reviewing the circumstances of the event but no foul play is suspected.
