Busted For Meth, And More

Weekend Arrests Include Meth And Tipsee Driver

Ruben Gomez, 30, of Grand Jct.
Mesa County, Colo. -- Deputies responded to a fight in the area of Dawn Drive and 29 Road late Saturday night. Deputies with our agency's Street Crimes Unit contacted 30-year-old Ruben Gomez, who was leaving the immediate area on a bicycle. Ultimately, Gomez was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia after deputies found the drug and a pipe in his sweatshirt.

James Harris, 35, of Clifton

James Harris, 35-years-old, was arrested late on the night of October 6, after a DUI patrol deputy witnessed erratic driving. Harris was contacted by the DUI enforcement deputy near D 1/2 and 31 Roads. Harris was already found to have his driver's license suspended due to previous driving impairment(s), not paying child support and more. Due to his current (denied) driving status and driving laws, it was mandatory he be arrested.

Jewell Fugate, 25, of Montrose

Jewell Fugate, 25-years-old, was contacted by deputies in Whitewater over the weekend. Fugate had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. It would seem she knew about the warrants because she gave deputies a fake name. They were able to identify her by previous booking photo(s) and the unique letter tattooed on her hand. Fugate was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the warrants and additional charges associated with criminal impersonation and possession of methamphetamine.
