Mesa County, Colo. -- Patrol deputies overnight made two separate drug related arrests. The first occurred about 10:30 a.m., when an abandoned vehicle was found in the roadway on 29 1/2 Road, with the driver's door left open, impeding traffic and the vehicle was running. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle and surrounding area, the deputy located Lance A. Koch in the front yard of the house where the vehicle was parked.
Lance currently has his driving status revoked for six restraint violations. An inventory of the vehicle produced just over 3 pounds of suspected marijuana, which far exceeds legal personal use amounts for an adult in Colorado. Lance Koch, 28, of Grand Junction, was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on one charge of Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Driving Under Revocation and a Traffic Violation.
