Ronald Kolpin, 63, of Clifton

Clifton Man Arrested, Charged With 64 Counts Child Porn Possession

Mesa County, Colo. -- Ronald Kolpin, 63, of Clifton, was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility by patrol deputies who arrested him at his residence on the morning of Friday, October 10, 2014. Ronald has a $50,000 PR bond set as of the afternoon of October 14, for the 64 counts of possessing child pornography that are outlined in the warrant issued for his arrest.

Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office obtained the case after Larimer County and Grand Junction Police Department officials traced the transfer of child pornography back to the same IP address, which was assigned to the residence of Ronald.

Investigators don't believe nor have any indication or evidence that any of the images found through the course of this investigation are of local children. However, anyone who suspects child abuse should report it to local law enforcement by calling (970) 242-6707 or (970) 242-1211.
