Mesa County, Colo. -- Yesterday night, Steven Cordova, 48, of Grand Junction, was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted by deputies in the area of Lark Drive and Sandpiper Avenue. Deputies located 4.9 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle belonging to and driven by Steven, who was the only occupant of the vehicle. This amount of meth is more than personal use and consistent with distribution amounts, according to a deputy report.

In addition to the meth, a single pill was located in the vehicle, and it was identified as a schedule 2 controlled substance. In addition to a traffic infraction, Steven was charged and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility without incident on possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, possession of schedule 2 substance and possession of meth with intent to distribute.
