Friday 11:20 a.m. UPDATE:  36-year-old Sabrina Stevens of Clifton was arrested for the following charges:

• 1st degree Assault (Class 3 Felony)
• Manslaughter (Class 4 Felony)
• Domestic Violence (Sentence Enhancer)

CLIFTON, Colo - At approximately 9:05 p.m. Thursday Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on the 3400 block of F 3/4 Road.

A 39-year-old male was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

One person is in custody. There are no outstanding suspects. 

The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will determine cause and manner of death, as well as release the identity of the deceased once next of kin is notified.

All documents have been sealed. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
