MESA COUNTY, Colo – Thursday at 9:40 p.m., Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a male walking down the street with a gun in the area of the 500 block of 32 1/2 Rd.
As deputies arrived in the area, a 911 call came in reporting the male stole a car at gunpoint. Deputies observed the stolen car in the area of 32 1/2 Rd and Lucile Ave and pursued it. The vehicle traveled north bound on 32 1/2 road at a high rate of speed with no headlamps on. The car hit a mailbox and parked trailer before eventually coming to a stop near 32 ½ Road and E ½ Road.
Nicolas Millican. 20, of Clifton was arrested at gunpoint. He is facing the following charges:
- 2 Counts of Aggravated Robbery (Class 3 Felony)
- 2 Counts of Menacing (Class 5 Felony)
- Vehicular Eluding (Class 3 Felony)
- 1st Degree Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft (Class 4 Felony)
- Drove Vehicle Without a Driver's License
- 2 Counts of Failed to Remain At the Scene of a Crash (Class 1 Misdemeanor)
- Speeding 40 MPH or More Over
- Drove Without Headlamps On
- Reckless Driving
- Violation of a Protection Order (Class 1 Misdemeanor)
Millican was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared, then transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility. For updated bond amounts visit our website.
