Vacation home checks for the holidays


MESA COUNTY, Colo - Going out of town for the holidays and worried about your home or business? Let the the Mesa County Sheriff's Office know by requesting a Vacation Home Check.

When available, Citizen on Patrol volunteers will check your home while you are away.

To request a Vacation Home Check you must fill out this request form. Please include when you will be gone, emergency contact information, who may be at the residence taking care of pets and the property, as well as any other information our deputies should know.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office also accepts request for Extra Patrols. This is different from a Vacation Home Check. 

Extra Patrol requests are only for suspicious activity (with no suspect information) going on in your neighborhood or around your home that your would like extra patrol for. 

To request Extra Patrol you must fill out this request form. Requests must include what type of suspicious activity is occurring that we should be on the lookout for. These requests automatically expire after 2 weeks. 

Extra Patrols and Vacation Home Checks are only conducted by our Citizen on Patrol volunteers based on their availability. This is a request only and there are no guarantees as to when or how often the extra patrols will be conducted. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office does not assume liability for loss or damage to any property during the specified dates.
