Three Arrested On Meth & Fight Over Tool Lands One In Jail

Meth Arrests & Not So Friendly Fight

Mesa County, Colo. -- Deputies conducting a business check at a local storage center yesterday, ended up arresting three adults on active warrants and meth related charges. Deputies heard voices coming from a specific storage unit, to include one person saying they were going to smoke it up.

Inside the storage unit, deputies found Michael Balentine, 51, and Cari Tindell, 54, both had active arrest warrants and Cari has a bond condition that bans her from being around Balentine. Also, in the unit was Mark Tindell, 55, of Grand Junction. All three of the adults were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and Cari was charged with a violation of her bond conditions. They were booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the active warrants and new charges.

Yesterday morning, deputies were called to a felony menacing incident in the 700 block of Foxtail Road, in Grand Junction. The incident started as a dispute over a borrowed tool that the owner wanted returned immediately.

The tool owner is Todd Rider, 54, of Grand Junction, who ultimately is suspected of threatening another man with a box cutter, chasing the victim around the outside of the house with a baseball bat and ultimately punching him in the face. Rider was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges of second degree criminal trespass, third degree assault and felony menacing.

Rider bonded out of jail today after receiving a $5,000 PR bond.
