Slow Driver Catches Attention Of Deputy, Arrested With Meth

Suspect Arrested With Meth

Mesa County, Colo. -- As the clock moved into the early hours of September 17, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near 30 Road and Gunnison Way, Grand Junction, after deputies saw the driver watching television on a mobile device while attempting to drive. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and he was driving on a suspended driver's license (for non-payment of child support). 

George Gonzalez, 30, of Grand Junction, was arrested on charges related to methamphetamine possession, drug paraphernalia possession, driving under restraint and TV visible to vehicle operator. George received a $5,000 cash or surety bond, and is scheduled to appear in court next on September 23, at 8:30 a.m.
