Auto theft suspect
MESA COUNTY, Colo - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help to identify the person suspected of stealing a car earlier this week.

Sometime between Sunday May 14th and Monday, May 15th a 1988 Buick LeSabre was stolen from the West park-N-Ride at 3235 I70 B Frontage Rd, Mesa County.

The stolen vehicle was recovered abandoned on the side of the road at the Colorado/Kansas state line. Inside the car deputies found a receipt from Taco Bell in Clifton believed to belong to the suspect.  

Security cameras captured a male with a goatee wearing a hat, glasses, a white shirt and a jacket.

The time on the video of the suspect making the purchase at the Taco Bell matches with the time stamp on a receipt found in the recovered vehicle.
