Victim Targeted In Overnight Shooting Incident

Adult Male Shot, Transported To Area Hospital

Mesa County, Colo. -- An adult male was shot, in the 3200 block of Bunting Avenue, Clifton, a few minutes after midnight on September 16, 2015. Deputies were dispatched to the scene of the incident at 12:14 a.m., where they encountered the victim conscious and breathing. He was transported to an area hospital by Clifton Fire Department.

The victim remains hospitalized, with an updated status on him expected today. (Note: He remains hospitalized. Further status won't be provided to us due to HIPPA.) Investigators were able interview potential witnesses in the early morning hours, and don't believe this incident was a random act.
