MCSO asks public for help in identifying possible suspect

CLIFTON, Colo - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a person believed to be trying to use counterfeit money.

Just after 6:00 Tuesday morning a female believed to be in her 20s walked into the convenience store at the Bradley Sinclair gas station on the 3200 block of F Road.

The person seen in this surveillance photo allegedly attempted to pay with a fraudulent $100 bill.

Local businesses also need to be on the alert for counterfeit bills.
