Trunk-n-Treat Event Today

TRUNK-n-TREAT TONIGHT

Mesa County, Colo. -- Join the Sheriff's Office Street Crimes Unit deputies and School Resource deputies at the Maverick store located on 29.5 and Patterson Roads, from 4pm to 6pm, today. They will be handing out candy to the kiddos, getting the evening started in a fun and safe manner.

For those of you driving tonight, be mindful of kids crossing streets and possibly darting out into roadways. Also, make sure an older child or adult accompanies kids trick-or-treating, only go to homes you know, check the candy before your kids eat any of it and take a picture of your children in their costume before heading out.

In case your kids lose you while out trick-or-treating tonight, it is very helpful for law enforcement to know exactly what your child looks like in their costume. And don't delay on calling 911 for missing kids/parents.
