Possible drowning at Pot Holes

GLADE PARK, Colo - One person was transferred to St. Mary's Hospital via careflight after being swept under the current at Pot Holes in Glade Park.

It was reported at approximately 7:10 p.m. Wednesday that a 20-year-old male was not breathing after being submerged under water for a short time.

Mesa County Sheriff's deputies assisted Grand Junction Fire Department and Glade Park Fire Department in the rescue effort.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office encourages everyone to exercise extreme caution when swimming in unknown bodies of water.
