Mesa County, Colo. -- A warrant had already been issued for Megan Shives, 27, for failure to comply related to a 2010 case. Deputies contacted her while she was driving a vehicle with license plates reported as stolen.
Megan was initially combative with deputies, who described "carrying her to the patrol vehicle," for transporting her to the jail. Multiple prescription pills were located by deputies, to include antipsychotic medications, pain killers and muscle relaxers. Megan was booked into the jail on charges related to both possession of a controlled substance schedule II and IV, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic infractions, in addition the outstanding warrant.
