Duo Arrested On Meth Charges

Desert Party Lands Two In Jail

Mesa County, Colo. -- Suspicious vehicles in the desert, reported to be just off C Road, lead deputies to contact Charlotte Zoobi, 34, of Whitewater and Michael Baker, 33, of Grand Junction, last Friday. Both were arrested on charges related to possession of methamphetamine, along with additional outstanding warrants for the arrest of Michael (out of Garfield County).

It was noted in the arrest report that Michael was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility without incident. Charlotte received an additional felony charge of introducing contraband into the jail after a small baggie of suspected meth was brought into the facility, likely in her undergarments, found during the booking process.

Michael posted a bond of $50 cash and $6,000 cash/surety, and is no longer in our facility. Charlotte received a $1,000 PR bond and is no longer in our facility. For information on any inmate currently in our jail, visit our Inmate Inquiry System webpage.
